Via her website Goop Gwyneth Paltrow has released the first photos of the interior of her New York City apartment. While we recently saw the interiors of the “knock-down” houses Paltrow purchsaed in Santa Barabara, this is the first time we’ve seen inside her apartment. Paltrow worked on the Tribeca residence with designers Roman and Williams who also created the interiors for her Goop pop-up store in Chicago and New York.
The firm’s style is traditionally darker and more layered however Paltrow convinced them to work within a white and bright palette to create this serene yet playful space. “We wanted to make the foyer this long, great room—what you’d find in a proper English home with that classical round table,” says Standefer. “We played with the idea of levels of public and private,” Robin Standefer, principal at Roman and Williams Buildings and Interiors told Goop.
“We wanted to go with this sort of romantic, playful vibe and Gwyneth thought of this swing where she could sit and relax with her kids. It’s made from this incredible antique Indian door, painted and then topped with silk pillows.”
