The shop, located on Rue Saint Honoré, is a 5,300-square-foot space designed by David Collins Studio in collaboration with Sarah Burton, and the interiors are just as stunning as the collections they house. Details inside include parquet floors, Giò Ponti armchairs, glass mannequin cases, a grand Marquina marble staircase, pink and white onyx walls displaying the accessories, and a little garden courtyard out back. Downstairs in the eveningwear salon, Burton created an exclusive wallpaper that features a delicate lilac Rorschach and damask blended design, one slightly similar to those seen on past McQueen runways in the forms of dramatically graphic prints (like in the Spring 2009 and Spring 2010 shows). Inspired by both Burton and her predecessor’s boldness in experimenting with pattern and embroidery, above are seven wallpaper motifs that bring a bit of McQueen’s clever glamour home.
